CB550 Valve Cover Vent Line
« on: October 26, 2005, 12:53:12 PM »
In the course of restoring my 1974 CB550 K0 I removed what was left of the original air box and added velocity stacks.  Now I have a vent line that comes from the valve cover and goes nowhere.  What should be done with this line?

I also have V.Stacks on my bike , and had to route the line somewhere.
I picked up a cheap breather filter from work (American v-twin shop) and attached it to the end
of the line. We do this at the shop just because it looks nicer , and prevents anything from going up the line.

You could just run the line , with no filter , under the bike and forget about it.....
Your choice.....

I like your approach - looks cool and sensible as well.

BTW once I get the jets dialed in I will let everyone know what worked.  The standard #38 pilot and 100 main are too lean.  My next try will be #40 pilot and 108 mains.
