My '72 CB750 - Done
« on: May 23, 2010, 07:32:31 AM »
I have been getting my '72 750 into shape - I had Blake (Painting by Blake) do the paint in Candy Gold, and used a seat from Classic City Cycles...  The rest is stock and original.  It finally looks as good as it runs!

That looks great!  I need a seat for my 73 750 and that looks so right to me.  I shall have to see about that.  Great paint, too

;D I love every thing about it. Do you know who makes that seat or is it a home made.

Thanks, Bubba, but it's really Blake's painting of MDclips' vision that ties it all together.  RR

Thanks for the compliments.  If you are interested in the seat, go to http://www.classiccyclecity.com/gallery/index.php - They are kind of expensive. $380 + shipping.  Mine was a little more, because I had them add the aluminum trim strips on the side of the upholstered part of the seat to echo the lines of the original seat.  The seat is of excellent quality, and fits exactly to the existing hinges on the 750, and the key still works for the seat.  I think it is probably the best quality 750 cafe type seat available.  I also like that it fits on with everything else in tact, I didn't even need to remove the rear grab bar.

Well done!  Where did you get the tank trim?
