God??!! I didnt mean it to turn into all this. Sorry Terry..... LOL ANyway got the Sabre running. It will need carb work at sometime but that is not now. I did the feed it every chemical for carbs under the sun and it now will wind up ok. God it hits the 10 grand limit fast! Only it wont idle. Also the aircleaner turned into snot as I forgot to remove it before feeding an entire can of carb spray to the beast. Oh well. You don't have to idle in the twistys. I will make sure to screw some mirrors on the thing and get a little ride time in today. ;D Dont care how, I just need some ride time it helps me refocus and get back on track and I dont want to ride the minty Kawasaki 440 LTD and put more miles on it. Besides, while it is minty it feels mopedish.

Aaaahhhh, Mad Max. Another champion Aussie export in the shape of Mel Gibson.

Aussie export? ;D ;D ;D More like an Aussie poser...

"Gibson's full name is Mel Columcille Gerard Gibson. He was born in Peekskill, New York, the sixth of ten children born to Ann Reilly (who was born in the U.S. to Irish immigrants) and Hutton Gibson, whose parents were Australians of Irish heritage. The family also adopted one child, bringing the total number of children in the family to 11. His younger brother, Donal, is also an actor.
Although he maintained his United States citizenship, he was raised in Australia from the age of twelve. Following a victory on the TV game show Jeopardy!, Gibson's father, Hutton, moved his family to Australia in 1968 in protest of the Vietnam War for which his elder sons were potentially at risk for being drafted, and also because he believed that changes in American society were immoral.
Although at one point Gibson possessed an Australian accent that was so thick that his voice was dubbed in the US release of Mad Max (along with the rest of the cast), in the early 1990s he began to lose the accent after having lived in the United States for over a decade. He now has a fully American accent."

B ack on topic. I got the Sabre out for a run. Put on about 7 miles. Ran kind of crappy but it di run out ok. The handle bars feel goofy because they are the super bike type. Handles well. However slips out of 5th gear at random. Otherwise ok.

The cb 750 has begun the transformation with the motor swap. It will take a few weeks as I figure the best time to do the fork seals and replace one fork ear and one rubber boot is when I have it all lightened up without a motor in it. But none the less I will provide photos of the damage as soon as possible.

It's OK Cheapy, I'm ignoring all that other #$%*, (for now........) you'll need to pull your carbs and clean your pilot jets to make it idle, they're probably pressed in, so you'll have to carefully twist them out with vice grips, no amount of random carb spraying will do it. If you're putting the F2 engine (black bugger?) in your bike you will need F2 carbs and airbox etc, and your throttle cables are different too. If your F2 engine's good though, it'll be a sweet ride! Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

You might say all that. It a 700 V-four liquid cooled. Like a intereceptor in different clothing. I know I never want to do the carb work on it. Holy FREAKIN COW man talk about jammed in there. No place to even spray the old carb spray in!!  ::)
Those carbs SUCK to get in place. Order 4 new intake boots (insulators) if you plan on taking them out. I will not touch another V-4 again except for a front tire change.

A good hard ride, fuel injection cleaner (sea foam). Now she idles fine and winds up good when warm, plus the choke responds normally now. Terry, it's a good thing because there is no way I am pulling these carbs for a bike I will just be selling in two weeks. It runs acceptable right now. So on to welding up the right muffler and it will be ready.

dude!  elcheapo, if you go and make 1000 bucks off this bike after only 2 weeks i'm gonna be disappointed.  ride it for the sake of resurrection, near and certain death only to be a thundering beast once again.

The bike rides ok. I little stiff for my taste, a bit like a corpse, real stiff. When I was parking it I heard a strange noise from the motor. Not the kind that makes me panic, but the kind that makes me not exactly happy... ::) I would not ride it a long distance right now. I figure I will ride it gently for a week or so and then BYE BYE BIRDIE..... Heffay, I never keep any bike outside of the old CB 750 K, I stay true to my roots, so there is no love loss by selling it. By selling it I put it in the hands of someone who will love it and take care of it. I NEVER sell to slackers. I need the income anyway and have not done to badly this month so far. $4,500 so far and looking at another $4,500 in cue (bikes still waiting to be sold). Plus this money goes to help pay for the parts on the olf 750 K. This just bikes and parts sales.
