Brake Bleeder screw
« on: April 17, 2009, 12:25:40 PM »
It took forever to figure out that my front brake bleeder screw was leaking air when bleeding.  Temporarily I fixed it with teflon tape.  Where can I get a good replacement?

Hi TomL

Replace your bleed valve with one from these people:

http://www.speedbleeder.com/

They will go out of their way to work with you.  If you cannot figure out what size in millimeters that you need, they will do the foot work for you.

I would pay the slightly extra money and get a stainless valve.  I've had one on my 750 K4 for years now......... terrific!  Makes bleeding your bike super easy and very fast. ;) ;)

Edit Add On Just make sure your internal female threading is good before you install the speed bleeder....

If the female thread in the caliper is no good you can try one of these (it is non-metric though, so you need a non-metric tap)
