just bought cb 750...

it's been modded into a chopper/bobber and i don't know alot about these bikes, so my question is, how do i know if it's a SOHC or DOHC?

it's a 1978 CB 750

single overhead cam or double overhead cam
one cam or two :)

   If it is indeed a '78 then it's a sohc. The engine serial number will tell you for sure.

A simple check is to look on the valve cover. If it says "OHC 750" on each end and the sparkplugs are more towards the front of the engine, you've got an SOHC motor.

No to mention that the SOHC valve cover is one, great, bulbous thing. The DOHC has TWO Cam lobes with the spark plugs between them.
