chopping straight pipes
« on: April 16, 2009, 03:13:07 PM »
For some this may seem like blasphemy but I am thinking out chopping my old mufflers off just leaving straight pipes there. Before I do this does anyone know if this will negatively effect the back pressure and ruin performance. Loud pipes save lives, yes it sounds... Harley like... but in my area I seriously and honestly feel a louder bike could save my butt. This is not so much to be loud and obnoxious as it is a safety measure if you will. I was also wondering if any of you knew who might make a different style of pipes for a cb 650.

please post your questions here >>>> http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?board=2.0

you get more people look at your question and that's where all the questions and answers get given.... ;) ;)

to answer your question, ;D,650's are most restricted in airbox, might wanna open that up and with the straith pipes you will gain performance, down side is,you will have to rejet the carb's......

don't know any one that makes exhaust for them,650's seem to be less popular.... >:( >:( >:( >:(
Marti, I want you to know, I like you an awful lot, but guys have said far less and left wearing their drinks on their shirts.
