HM300 Exhaust
« on: April 16, 2009, 04:57:33 PM »
Well, it took Honda 4 tries to get me an HM300 #3 pipe without dents for my K1 project.  Check those over carefully before you leave the dealer.  What the heck are they doing to these pipes.  For what they cost they should be perfect!!!

I've probably had those dented pipes in my grubby little hands , for I went through that exact problem with the #3 pipe too....you'd think that they'd pack 'em better than a plastic sleeve in a cardboard box...

Mine are in pretty rough shape, too.  You think Honda would take them back for an exchange even though they're 38 years used? ;D ;D

Unsavory outfit that Honda, no confidence in their product.

Yah, they sent their last #3 pipe to the dealer and said, "tell your customer we are not sending anymore and to pick the best of the 4."  What the heck happened to quality products "Made in the USA?"  It is a darn shame!!!

Check the heat shield mounts too. I had one that was not threaded on one pipe and the in the wrong location on another. Don't leave the store without a double check in front of the partsman.
