The time has come..
« on: April 17, 2009, 01:15:20 PM »
I posted a post a while ago, I was having a dilemma deciding between a Ducati or Triumph Street Tripple... I made my decision.

I started putting all my extra cash away, and some of my pay checks, and then the money I was smoking or wasting on other stuff that I had cut out, all of a sudden I went and checked the balance on my savings this week....

THREE GRAND BABY!!

In only a couple months.... I went to motoprimo today and applied for financing on a new Roulette Green Triumph Street Tripple. I got the 3k to put down... I am stoked. Sooooo stoked. My credit is shot however, thank you Lisa (ex wife), but I think the 3k should balance it out some.... here is to hoping.

Anyone else buying something new this summer?

i am in no position to buy new but you have chosen interestingly. for example, did you know that the triumph triple is powered not by gasoline, but by the vigorous envy of those who you pass by? sort of a perpetual motion machine.  ;D

best of luck getting approved.  8)

You don't like that sweet Thruxton or the Duc Sport Classic Cafe Biposto?

Don't worry man, after this is paid off in a year or two, the Ducati will be next.

Well, for one this thing should only take me a year or two to finish off. Second I'm only 26 man, if Sam can ride well into his 70's.... then hell, I can do it too.

Sam doesn't ride a Duc. And besides.... riding a winged animal is only cool til your 30. Then you just look....well....

What's a New Bike?

Is that one that doesn't enter the shop in pieces?

Or one that doesn't need carb work?

Or one the previous owner didn't bodge up the wiring?

Or one that the chain, tires, battery, etc isn't worn out?

Whats this NEW you speak of?

yeah kghost, what you said!  I don't know of anything new other than problems or malfunctions.  Tires!  I know new tires!  But new bike, no.

If it is pink and about 2 feet long, then it is a lung. if its pink, round and about a 1.5 inch in diameter then it is probably a testicle. Good luck

hmmm....buying anything new this summer you ask???

Well, so far I am staring down the barrel of needing new garage doors (1900-2500$), pool heater is shot (2500$), Skylights are leaking, Windows need doing in a huge wayetc etc etc! So yeah I will be buying lots of new stuff this summer but unfortunately nothing I can ride!

Dennis

P.S. enjoy the triple...they are a nice looking bike!

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D  I was over there a few years ago (2006) getting parts for my Yamaha and was sorely tempted by a new Bonnie but in the end couldn't justify the $$$ to my wife.  Enjoy your new ride.

Kemosabe, this "new" that white man speaks of is it true or does he speak with forked tongue?
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!
