Wiring harness resources

I noticed that many of my bullet connections on my bike are corroded.  Instead of changing all of the connectors I would like to just replace the whole wiring harness.  This part is not available through the OEM parts houses.  Does anyone have any other ideas as to where I can get my hands on a new one?

Cleaning bullets is pretty easy, prolly take you 2 hours.  You sure you want to though that kinda money out the door?

These connections are very corroded.  They need to be replaced.  I just want to start with a clean slate and not have to worry about my connections shorting out.  I have the bike totally disassembled so now is the time to do it.

I'd think ebay would be your only hope, and it'll be expensive if you do find one.

Lots of us have built our own harnesses. You might go that route. If you do, my advice would be to lay your hands on an official Honda shop manual for the wiring diagram because the diagrams in the Haynes and Clymer manuals may not be entirely accurate. I did up a nice color diagram for mine, but it's a '77 CB750K.

Thanks Burma.  If I cant find a new one within the next few months then I will probably just replace all the bullet terminals.  The wiring is fine and intact.  I was kinda looking for a fresh start since the entire bike is being renovated.

If you do get new connectors, try these people:

If by any chance you end up trying to make your own wiring harness, get a hold of what is known as "robotic" wire....... it has more wire strands to it and is much more flexible (which is what we really need on our bikes) than standard electrical wire....... ;) ;)

Great link.  I just bought a kit tonight but if I need more of the double crimp terminals, I know where to find them. :)

I assume this if for you 400/4.  NOS harnesses are rare but still available from Japanese suppliers.  Carpy just sourced one for his 400/4 Brown Bomber build.  You can call him to ask where he got his.
