I'm just looking for parts on ebay and this was in the list.
I mean, did they only make ya know 50 of these or something?
I have the second Lone ranger Comic book put out. Like old as hell got it from my gpa. I couldn't justify asking 250 for it.

there's a sucker born every day, and they usually have fat wallets.

I just clicked best offer, and said $5.00!
fingers crossed guys! ....I have no use for them.

These things are only worth what someone else will pay for them. Sometimes we're the fisherman and sometimes we're the worm. As you said, there is a sucker born every minute.

alot of things like this sit forever though.
because the guy selling it thinks it's "vintage, collectible, cafe, antique, bobber, rare, sandcast" and therefore won't sell it for its actual value.

another example
There's a 88 vw cabriolet on the corner down here... $4500, and its dead stock with no factory options. not even a new top or cd player. it's worth $1800 tops. Been parked there (on and off) for 2 years now, with no price change. ...Dumb ass.

Must be a "rare, vintage, collectible, antique, sandcast," VW.

If this is someone on the forumn, I'm sorry but I just don't understand.
So, I am either the cheapest person alive, or this person has legitimately lost it.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Honda-300-305-CA77-CB77-CL77-CA-CB-CL-77-Badges-Emblems_W0QQitemZ300303666273QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotorcycles_Parts_Accessories?hash=item300303666273&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=72%3A1171%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318
If those are truly the origianl plastic badges they are worth it. I was offered $300 for mine and they are less than mint condition. They are unobtanium. The gold coloring showing through the black enamel is 24k gold leaf, from the factory.

If you want to do a 100 point restoration of a 305, you have to have these. As the seller mentioned, they would warp when left in the sun, so hard to find any in decent shape. Mine are not warped, but some of the gold leaf is gone. Truly a collectable part.

The replacements are painted metal.  I took mine off my bike (68 CB77) and replaced them with metal. I was always afraid when i was riding it around that they would get stolen.

Good plastic replicas are now available for about $150. But there's nothing like the origianl if you are a restorer.

See, I don't even want to paint my tank with the expensive paint I wanted to do because I could potentially drop a  150 dollar tank, so, I can't imagine having fun with something I'm worried about like that.
Interesting to know now, why theyre worth money that is.

McRider- restorers are a strange breed... I'm more for custom, I'd probably have shaved them off and ignorantly threw 'em in the tool box...

i was on an overnight on the CB77 with my wife on her ZL600. We stopped in a restaurant  near Marietta OH. When i came out there was a note on my bike offering me $150 each for the badges. Light went off, if this guy would take the time to write me a note, he could have taken a #2 screwdriver and taken the badges in less time. When i got home i got hold of the Vintage Jap MC club and asked them Wuazzup. And they told me the story. That's when i ordered the metal replacements took the plastic ones off into safe storage.

I was offered $200 for my original seat, which i found out later was way cheap. Between the 2 that's more than i paid for the bike.

Well I was real lucky, bought it from a widow who'd had it stored in a heated room since 1974, 4,000 original miles and her hubby died. She didn't know what she had, and frankly I thought I paid her a fair price, but afterwards realized I got a deal.  Neither of us knew what the restorers market was and she took my offer.
