Thumper Tech

Due to the fact that the engine is not in the
original frame, the kickstart conflicts
with the footpeg position.
Bracketry has been designed to allow the footpeg
to be pivoted out of the way for starting.(BTW--it refuses to start)
Top pic shows starting position.
Bottom pic shows footpeg in proper position.

hope you don't mind but one day i'd like to try this swap! brilliant.

btw: i'm relieved honda had the foresight to label the kickstart arm. otherwise i'd likely spend all day pumping that thing looking for the well water! thanks honda.

Due to starting problems, the thumper has been temporarily relegated to static kinetic art status.
--But I am still working on a starting roller mechanism for the thumper.
Current plans call for the roller to be driven by a power take off on the electric three wheeler.
Anytime I can use another turnbuckel, I do !

Nine scateboards into the project, so far.
When used to cradle a PVC tube, the scateboard wheels are self-aligning.

how did you address properly aligning the moto mill in the cb frame? fitting challenges?

The self starter has yet to see action.

Alignment of the thumper engine was done
by resting the engine in the frame,
putting the chain on and eyeballing.
Due to the design of the main engine shaft (splines)
you have about 3/4 inch to play with.
