If you want people who are seriously considering buying your exhaust to respond to your ad, then I'd say yes, it's too harsh.

Saying something like that will only cause legitimate buyers to hit the back button and practically invites harassment from idiots with nothing better to do.

Yup, it sounds like you would be difficult to deal with, which isn't true.

 Oops, just read your post in another thread. I'll modify the above to   "No, fair warning"   ;D

i really do have to try hard sometimes to be more tactful with people. it's why i love animals so much, they dont intentionally do stuff to aggravate you.

basically, i threatened all sorts of verbal abuse if they asked me to either ship or accept checks. every time i sell something on craigslist i get the "i'll send you a certified draft for so much over the asking price, you cash the check and give me half of the difference and you keep the rest................" that was my way to handle it.

Nothing you put in your ad will stop the scam emails from coming.  The scammers don't have time to read the body of the ad, they just insert the name of whatever you're selling into a form email and then send it to you.  If they send these emails to enough people a few suckers will take the bait.

They don't read the ads, they just do mass mailings.  It's a mistake to take them personally.  Ebay and Craigs List- I put very detailed descriptions with pictures that are pig and well lit.  There's always a bunch of;
" I have read your ad and find the price and conditions acceptable.  I shall send you a check and my shipper will blah blah blah.."  Or-

"I will like to buy your bike.  Please return an answer immeditaely describing in detail the condition and final price"   Riiiight.
Dude- your 8 layers are showing!
