I must be fortunate. I have a halogen light, all stock lights and have not touched my wiring. I charge with no issues. Still have the stock vreg too. I must have been gifted! :D

I NEVER SAID I HAD A CHARGING issue!

i just wanted to make it better and make it more reliable.... if you have less load then less wear and tear on my 32yr old charging system...

my connectors were not "bad" just they looked very old so i got new ones that way i didnt get out in the middle of BFE and have that "so-so" connector have sudden high resistance and melt :( that would be suckie because its always the one that goes is the one you dont replace... and they are cheap ($2 ea...) the key to buying a HID kit that is good quality: ( know this because i've done dayz of research!)

1. Good HID brand names
2. were is it made (if it says made in CHINA) YOUR IN TROUBLE i've read counless reviews were people got ones from ebay and it was CHEEP and it was made in chine and the balast broke and they were out of light :( so bottom line if its made in Germany or japan... (like mine was) then your pretty safe! WHO CARES ABOUT A WARRENTEE THAT YOU HAVE TO USE 10 TIMES IN A YEAR?
3.How goood is the install kit?\
4. is it really made for a motorcycle or just "half" of a car kit??
5. can you buy or CAN the place you bought it from get bulbs fast and how much do they cost.... if the bulbs come from china again... they you will be waiting 10 BUSINESS DAYS (thats 2 weeks+ btw) just for a bulb..
6. SOME kits are Bi-Xeon and to 2 different watt bulbs and are prone to early burn out and they cost $$$$$$$$ your better off getting the kit with the motorized (just a magnet) Bi-Xeon bulb they are $40 to replace them and you have a really broad range of color temps!!!

these are all great things to consider when buying a HID kit there are many cheep knock offs out there that you have to be careful of :( buy in the end i feel that this V-LED kit was good quality good instructions (in english) and fast customer service and they are semi local (usa) it was a rally nice kit and because of WERE i wanted it installed on my 750 i only extended the BI-Xeon wires (2 wires that make the bulb go from Hi/low)

i Guess i have to say this again....

I DONT SKIMP ON SAFTEY EQUIP!!!

just like tires and brakes ... headlights and lighting are saftey equip on motorcycles you only have 1 headlight! RIGHT?

so with that said i shoped around high and low to try and find the best balance between:
1. Cost (had to keep it low i'm on a budget)
2. Quality (remember no made in china HID kits)
3. how do i get replacement parts
4. was the kit waterproof for motorcycles?

If i recomend something i say... i've tried it and it works and it meets my high standard... if it didnt believe you me... i would send it back and post here what a piece of crap it was...

Are you running stock coils?

First off, I am not interested in starting a "pissing match." You are now speaking about recommending your new aquisition but I am wondering if have you have yet to experience your new headlight from an oncoming drivers perspective?  I looked at your beam pattern pics and they look like the typical blob produced by a reflector lens housing.  Is it possible to adjust this light pattern so that it lights up the road ahead yet doesn't shine the super intense HID light into an oncoming driver's eyes?  Honestly, I would love to go HID on my project bike (light intensity, low voltage draw) but I don't want to blind the person controlling a 2 ton hunk of steel that is heading in my direction.  So what's the report from receiving end?

i have not pulled upto my garage yet to "re-aim" the light anytime you add the HID lights you have to aim for the country you dive in (LHD or RHD) thats all from a ON- comming view you just reaim and it looks like a slightly brighter normal light...

 ;D

i like it soo far!

Burma, I use stock coils. My thing was that people seem to talk about having issues charging. I have done nothing with my system and it works top. I just clean it and thats it. I do want to get dyna 5 ohms sometime though.

i just wanted extra leg ROOM for my charging system :) and it seems to work the bike doesnt seem to try as hard to charge everything its super slim to notice.. but the bike does "seem" a little faster ;) i just cant get over that light its soo bright! i'm not trying to rant about it but i have never been able to see this good my last 750 had a stock light in it that was dismal on a good day.. and i put a car bulb in it (7in round) and it blew a week later with some pieces inside rattling around :( i ended up selling that bike and moving out farther into the mountains...

well now i have this bike and it never occured to me that the lighting sucked soo bad ti'll i road at night.. it was bad... so i got the H4 headlight and that was "better" but this HID is BEST!!! ya i prol could of spend more money on a PHILLIPS kit (but i didnt want a kit that was associated with a guy who smokes weed from a pipe... ;) )  (or was that phelps? oh well)

the Phillips kit is made totally in Germany and the quality is 10++++ i would say this kit is like a 8-9 with some other kits out there being only margonally better for 3x the money do your own research though.

Evo, I certainly understand what you are saying. More room is always good besides that, the charging system does not need to soak up so much HP to keep things charged. Maybe that is why things seem a little faster.

OK so here some really k00l updates...

on my bike... with it running! i get 7.75Apms @ 5k rpm (at the 15amp fuse) so that is a MAJOR improvement over stock!
with the bike OFF, Key ON, Ign, ON i get 10.2A (i think i set of points was charging the coils)
with the Bike OFF, Key ON, Ign, OFF i get 2.4A (no coils)
with the bike ON, Key ON, Ign ON and taking my reading @ MY 25A H.I.D. FUSE! i get startup of 5.2A and running after 30sec (lamp fully warm) i get 3.1A  AT the fuse!

so if you do the math! the bike only consumes about 10.8Amps to run the bike.... thats about 3.5 below what the alternator is rated @ :)

now keep in mind i have LEDs! ALL around the bike (except the gauges) and GL1000 3Ohm coils so if i had STOCK coils it would run MUCH lower as 4.4Ohm coils draw alot less than the GL coils.
