All bikes must be street legal with a plate to ride on the paved roadways.  Test Rides on anything seem to be permitted. We take several bikes to the swap area and get stickers for the headlights of our pit-bikes.  This year they intend to inforce the rules about under-age riders which I think is a good thing.  With the sticker on the headlamp you have full riding access to all parts of the property, including the pits.  Advice.......Ice is available on the grounds. However, it is less expensive off-site.  Be aware of numerous 'parties' in the campground areas.  Also, last year they created new campground spots because of overflow.  The new sites are to the right of the boulevard behind the swapmeet area.  It is adjacent to the swapmeet vendors overflow parking area. Again. stay on the high ground because of poor drainage if it rains.  You might want to bring an umbrella and boots.....just in case.  Also, the motocross, scrambles and trials events are in or next to the primary campground so don't plan to sleep in!

If Jeff agrees, would the leaders of the Sandcast Only and SOHC/4 wish to have the Rickman on display when or if it would be available?  I am invited to their pit area and have communicated about the display tent. Friday is OK for crowds. Saturday and Sunday can be very exciting if the weather is good.

I called mid-oh and checked if i could have my trailer in my campsite instead of the car and they said yes. Will park the car out in the general parking area for the weekend. Right now the Cub has Maine plates on it, but I hope to have Ohio Historic ones on it by then. Who or where do u go to see about the pit pass on the cub? I may just drive down there prior to the show and research the camping setup....it would make the weekend so much nicer if I had a good site ya know. Depending on the weather, I will either drag the trailer over to the sooc tent and unload the K4 or I may just ride it in there.... What are the rules regarding alcohol @ the campgrounds? Lots of people cook out with campfires? And finally, what are you selling/swapping this year?

Alcohol is allowed..........Yes, camping with the trailer is good.  Sometimes it gets windy or wet...or both!  No bugs though!  They should give you a sticker when you check in.  My swap space is shared with my brother-in-law.  One Superhawk that runs and has nice mufflers, BSA A-10 parts, a restored BSA Spitfire, and a whole lot of junk.  If I have room, I may bring a '68 HD Sportster that runs and a rolling CB750 project or two.

Hey everyone,

Just got a note from Steve Swan on the SandCast Owners forum.  They are still looking for bikes to put under their tent. If you have a CB 750 K, F, or A  they would like you to show off your bike under the tent. The CB 750 and the CBX are the featured bikes this year and will be highlighted in all the news/press coverage.  If your bike fits the bill, and there is ANY way that you can get there.....I highly recommend you make the effort to be there.  Here is what they are still looking for......
** Need more 69*K0 Bikes **
** Need more 70*K0 bikes **
1971 – K1     ** NEED EARLY & LATE K1 BIKES **
1972 – K2     ** NEED BIKES **
1976 – K6      ** NEED BIKES **
1977 – K7    ** NEED BIKES **
1978 – K8    ** NEED BIKES **
1975 – F0     ** NEED BIKES **
1977 – F2               ** NEED BIKES **
1976 - CB750A       ** NEED BIKES **
1978 – F3              ** NEED BIKES **
1977 – CB750A      ** NEED BIKES **
1978 – CB750A      ** NEED BIKES **

They have room for at least 30+ bikes and currently have 19 bikes coming.  SSSOOOOO if you would like to show off your bike to the world...this is certainly a great place to do it besides it just being a great time to hang around with bikes and bikers.

If you are interested, contact Glenn Stauffer or Steve Swan and we look forward to you joining us under the BIG TENT!

I have a 1969 CB750F and a 1977 CB 750F but unfortunately, some buddies and myself are taking a trip that week down to the New Orleans area.  We all have Honda 750's and take a trip every year, I saw that they were looking for old bikes, but this is the only week we can all get together.  I really wanted to make the show just to see all the bikes, but I guess I would sooner ride than sight see!  Hope everyone takes some pictures and posts them for us who can not make the 40th!!

A new message from Steve Swan tells us that Carpy has decided to stay home and save the $2500 travel expense.  As someone noted elsewhere, this will leave room for more audience attention to the rest of us!

I haven't seen much chatter here about Mid-O, but please loop me in if I'm missing any....

Thanks, different direction for me, but that's the kind of "chatter" I was thinking of :) ....  who else is involved in the tent out there? myhondas? Who's staying where Thursday night? I'm hearing conflicting rumors about camping. We should no problem throwing up a tent Thursday night, right?   -Jon

With the help of my CB 550 riding friend Christopher I shot a bunch of video of Bob Jameson and Bob Hansen doing their talk on the CB 750.  I'll get that together and put it on YouTube ASAP.
