And I'd like to thank everyone for not having me burned for heresy when they saw the condition of my Sandcast.  Especially that seat.  Eeek!

I hadn't seen Dennis since Road America in June.  The first thing he says to me?  "OK.  You win."

I'll get together with my buddy and hopefully we'll have the video set up by next week or so.  I saw they had a more professional looking setup at the presentation on Sunday.

Steve Swan:  Well done!

And now for the worst part of going to VMD - going back to work on Monday.

I loved the bikes we went Saturday and got drowned but it was great. The only problem was to many bikes I wanted and no money.

Well as posted on another thread, I can't post any pictures due to my camera disappearing on sunday. Only thing I have now is what you guys took, so please post as many as possible. I set up my video on sunday and recorded the talk that both Bob's made and I am supposed to get a copy of their powerpoint file. Plan to turn it into a DVD for SOOC and SOHC4 forums. Thanks to Philly550k1(Jon) for bringing the banner for the tent. We had members with bikes in three different tents. As I read the posts, I see a lot of members that were there that we didn't get to sign in on our check-in sheet @ the SOOC tent, but glad that they could come and enjoy.  KUDO's to all who displayed their rides and hope that everyone had a great time.

I'm one of the ones that didn't sign the sheet.  Dang.

Between your video and the one that I got on Saturday we should have some great stuff.  Listening to The Bobs was amazing.  Having the balls to tell Mr. Honda what to do!  Wow!

That's a bummer about your camera.  I'll post some more pics when I get home.  I know a lot of my friends got pics too.  I'll post links as they hit the net.

I'm still buzzed about what a great weekend I had.  Found some turn signals for my bike.  Got a great deal on some fixable pipes.  And then there's the biggest high point of all...

That's OK Big Bob.  I'm not sure if we got to meet. In the first picture that you posted, (Swan, Mark, The Bobs, & that's ME on the far right.) Had my Orange K4 up on the front line of the booth over a mirror. Yea....really pisses me off on the SD card and of course I hated to lose camera too. And then to top that off.....someone walked off with my 12'x12' tent and ground tarps too. Had struck the tent and put it in the bag and went to get my trailer & bike. When I came back about 30 min. later.....nothing.  Very costly weekend for me. On the lighter side....I'll go one farther on the highest point of the weekend.... Both Swan and I got the two Bobs to sign our gas tanks in gold paint....How cool is that???

Yes, it was a great show..........I think we had more attention from the visitors than the BSA tent attracted.  It was geat to see an original sandcast (Serial #175) in such great condition.  I parked my K3 on the edge of the tent-display and had to leave early on Sunday but had a good time talking to people on Friday and Saturday.  I saw all of the pictures being taken so hope to see some nice shots.  Great people and a good time.  This could be a road show!

Yes, Bob, you win with that bike, but thats because you were brave enough to bring it.  Swoop.....too bad about the missing equipment......I've never had that experience in 9 years and I leave my van unlocked most of the time.  Well, now I start to get ready for my ride to Bonneville and some AHRMA events in Tooele and Sandia Springs.  This should break-in my new pistons and rings.

Dennis, it was me that made that post about the gear......but just got a email from Steve Swan that someone left a note on his car about a lost item and when he called, found out that it was a camera.....now I just hope that it is mine and I get all my pictures.... tent is still a bummer, but not as much as the camera...everyone cross your fingers for good luck on this one.

We went to the Ohio show. What a blast! Can't wait for next year.
My name is Joe and i have been riding motorcycles since i was 18. Two years ago i had some engine trouble with my 79' Malibu and my friend VwDan (yes, the same from this forum) loaned me his cb450 for a week. I fell in love with the bike and picked up a sweet 77' cb550. The end. Ride safe!

That's my rough-looking sandcast right next to you guys.

Already looking forward to next year.  AMA/AHRMA be damned.  I'm racing.

It was my pleasure! Just wish that we could have had more of the members be able to join us. Lots of info and beer flowed Sat nite...Next year might have a planned get together on both Friday and Saturday night at a preplanned location.
I just got great news to report....guy who found  my camera is going to send it to me from NC so that I will have some pictures to post.
