CB 900 Deal or Not

Found this CB900 for sale locally, haven't had a look at the bike yet, but does anyone have any opinions or knowledge of these bikes. The one negative is the insurance costs for a larger cc bike up here is ridiculously high.

I always liked the thought of owning a 10 gear bike.

Dunno tho....burning oil sounds like a problem.

Once its using oil..it never gets better or stops without engine work

I like 'em.  I really like the 900 SS sliver/blue with the optional rearsets.  I do not know if any real issues exist with them though.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

oils seems a problem but the price compensates for that
friend owned one and loved it
i never liked the tranny
