I'm really happy with the tail. It is similar to David H's aka Doctor D's Super Sport.

I've also decided to jettison the Union Jack oil tank and dash. I found a clean oil tank to paint house black and a rare NOS dash:

The seat looks good.  If you don't mind my asking, what was the cost with the upholstry?  Also, what did you have planned for the tail light?  Project looks great!

I PM'd you with details on the seat and upholstery. That also included a bright LED taillight. My metal fabricator added some grommets to hold the wiring in place and welded a bracket into the main cross support so the seat is anchored. The front of the seat was notched to slide under the tank mount so everything fits well.

Finish welding complete. Now for the frame to be spot painted where tabs were removed. Seat in primer and prepped for paint.

Those Union Jacks look great, but I agree that they don't belong on the bike.

Thanks for the good word, Dusty. For the uncompromised builds, I think you have to look elsewhere like tweakin, Doctor D, tsunami, Branden, squirley, etc. I'm getting a good feeling about my project - like I'm seeing some light at the end of the tunnel. At least until I want to upgrade something new.

Exhuast just came back from Embee -- ceramic powdercoated!  My painter Bondo told me I should have the bike back Friday.
