When I began my build I was ready to build a black bike.  Then I realized there was a lot of black bikes so I opted to go the opposite route and build a bling bike, hey you only live once.  IMHO this bike is right on, aggressive in appearance, graceful in operation.  When it comes to black, Nine Lives nails it on the head.  I have nominated this bike for March bike of the month.  Who will be the first to follow suit and second this motion.  Thanks Racer Fan, Nine Lives goes in my "Folder of Favorites".  I will look forward to riding with you when Tsunami is rode worthy.

Variations of this exhaust are sold by Carpy (cb750cafe.com); MotoGPWerks; and Lossa Engineering (lossaengineering.com).  I believe they are all manufactured by Power Pros, but Don Kistler does not sell to the public, only through those three.

Thanks, Cameron.  In the last three weeks, I have traveled to Omaha, Nebraska and Seattle, Washington -- parts of the world where they have a REAL Winter season.  As a Southern Californian, we are spoiled with year-round riding weather, even if we complain when it rains or the temperature drops below 60.  I kept in mind how lucky I am (to not have to shovel snow) as I got to enjoy giving the girl a proper shake down ride Saturday and Sunday in the sunshine.  Keep warm out there!

Here's a quick recap of the lives so far used up by the Nine Lives Cafe Racer:

Purchased for a couple hundred bucks on ebay in 2008 (from Wisconsin; shipping cost more than the purchase price), this is how my bike started off:



I had Carpy make some cosmetic changes (chopped the exhaust, version 2 of the seat, bobbed the rear fender, installed clubmans):

Thanks, brandEn.  The credit for the tail goes to Ian Halcott and David Hiller (who owns the original seat).  I really like how the lines flowed with the SS tank.
