I was wacthing it, but figured I better get my recently aquired cb750 road worthy before getting another.

I am still trying to figure out the value of these SOHC, another reason of me not moving forward with another.

...not really...my insurance company has agreed to give the kid 70% of their damages - that's the calculated percentage of how much it was my fault for being out in the intersection at that moment - i may try for the 30% that's left over...it'd help out, i guess, though i'm not much for protracted legal bullsh*t...

ride safe! j'lo...

Thanks man.The seat and everything else that ya see is original, ceptin the lowering links and the hog wheel.

Ya, I been browsing carpy's site. My mission is to get the thing running (hopefully this weekend) before I sink, or do much more to it. Been sitting in a barn for 20 yrs or so. My Dad out of the blue, stop by and told me to go get it. He bought it new in 75. I going have to keep it as original as I can. It still a 30yr old piece of machine though and some things will need to be changed. Just that age thing <grin>

Now back to you, glad to see ya posting as well as to have some humor, been there and done that, that is about how ya got to handle it.

I have been laid up during 2003, through 2004, not a cager though. Mechcanical failure on me udder bike. Well enough.

You take care of yourself and heal.

I hate them back braces <snarl>

BTW what was you riding when struck by the tin can??

what happened was:
the lady in front of me was turning left - the guy coming towards her was also turning left. they both moved into the intersection and then stopped (?). I was directly behind the lady (witness) and the light began tochange - she was stopped so i went to go around her striking the guy turning left in front of me.
my insurance company is going to pay him 70% of his damages because Missouri is a state in which proportional culpability applies - in other words, it is permissable to find one person a certain percentage "at fault" and another bears the remainder of the blame. my ins. co. made the decision that i should have stopped (which is true - and i wish i had) and allowed the two lefties to proceed through the yellow light (only, it was too late)...
#$%* happens fast. i don't remember a g-d dam-ed thing for the next two days, and nothin of the accident, so i'm kind of screwed.

of course, i have the option to pursue his insurance company for damages - i'm waiting for my attorney to figure a couple of things out...i'm not sure how to proceed really...my health ins is good, i have a good job and am not losing pay for my time out of the office, i have no taste for protracted legal battles, and the bike wasn't worth all that much anyway - maybe just 300 bucks.

there you have it.
