CB750F vs. CB750K carb differences?
« on: April 29, 2009, 11:52:13 AM »
Hi, I recently figured out that I have a 1975 CB750F engine on my chopper. I've been trying to get the carbs dialed in for the pods and drags I'm running so I bought some Keyster carb kits. The first kits I bought were the KH-1178N because my bike is titled as a 1972. Those kits helped, but my bike ran lean in the mid range. I did some more research and found out I have the '75F engine. So I bought some different Keyster carb kits KH-0148. Those kits do not come with the needle jets. Are the needle jets themselves any different between those models? I know the taper on the needle is different, but not sure about the needle jets. Why does the kit for the '75 and '76F models not include these? Does Keyster make a kit that does?

Thanks

The needles and needle jets for a 75 750F DO have different Honda part numbers. They use the 392 part number which originated with the 75 750F.

Can't help with Keyster. I bought them once and removed them then reinstalled my original parts.
The air screws were different and the needles were not smooth like the Honda needles. Perhaps I had the wrong kits too.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)
