still working on this 1978 CB750F

Ok, I've got the pods on the bike is re-jetted with 130's and running well (done by the previous owner).  I am noticing that it looks like breathers were not put on the bike.  Any tips on where to get them?  Also any installation help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

pauly

Are you talking about hoses that connect to head/crankcase breather ports? Measure diameter of breather stem, and get appropriate hoses and clamps from auto store. Crankcase breather routes to the oil tank, so test fit, measure, before cutting to length.
Give me..a frame to build a bike on, and my imagination will build upon that frame

Ok, just to make sure I get this right.  The hose should run from the Oil tank to the crankcase breather?

The big breather hose connects at the head and vents to atmosphere on earlier bikes, but I think on later models it hooked to the airbox to recycle blow-by gasses etc (think EGR).

The small breather fitting on the back of the transmission hooks to the small fitting on the back of the oil tank.  It is actually not so much a breather but a return for oil from the oil vapor separator inside the oil tank.

The oil tank should also have a larger breather hose on it, that one is actually a breather.

That looks like it is the port out of the tranny case, that goes back to the oil tank.  That takes care of the oil leak problem.  I scavenge a part of a '79 cb  i have.  Now to find the cause of the ticking. I've located 3 of the four exhaust gaskets I need localy, will need to order the fourth most likely or wait until wed, when they have one in.

At least I'll get some yard work done.

Thanks for the help.
