I just bought this today on the flea bay. I look forward to chatting it up and learning about these great machines. I do have a question, which tires are you guys using on these machines? I am looking to upgrade to real world rubber. I am hearing Pirelli SPort demons or Dunlop GT501'S any opinions on these and sizes? Thanks! J.R.

Welcome from south eastern SC. That bike looks sharp. I didnt see it on flea-bay. Was it in TN? I hate the new e-bay . Its a PITA to me now.Tires since your in a great riding area should be good ones if it were me. I ride Cheng shins but I dont have any hills. For what its worth I have a friend of the family that gets a new BMW K rt ? 100 every 3 years or since i can remember early 80s. He racks up northern New England miles and says the Chengs outlast the more expensive tires and do fine by him. He also isnt pushing it in wet turns im sure. He must be 70-75 years old . He taught me how to back up a trailer so i trust his judgement.

Thanks Bender, yes I am going to go with good rubber here. I always rode either Michelins or Bridgestones on the ole Viffer but being this is a vintage bike, I knew my options were limited. I just want some good rubber with some decent life/wear to 'em!
