Topic: Need another manual or at least a wiring diagram. 1978 CB400A wandered

in this past Sunday.

I've done what I can without a book but really need a copy of the FSM to do much more.
1978 Hondamatic Hawk CB400A.
Good compression.
Clean tank.
Clean carbs.

No ignition key, need to make one, anyone know which blank to buy? Honda dealer doesn't know and wants to sell me the whole assembly. Dealer says 'no key from codes' for this bike. I would like to make a key or at least hotwire and see how she runs but no manual or wiring diagram. Lots of little things like how much fork oil, that I could use FSM for.

I'll have a look at the steering lock on my next visit to the workshop and see if these guys have a key. If not, I'll have the code for ordering a blank.

Still looking for FSM for this, and if my CX500 engine doesn't sell on ebay (I'm really out of room) for the CX500. It's gt way too many parts missing to restore, but might make a good rat. Giving the cb650 Hondazaki to my brother once I get the engine sorted out.

Not yet.
It's gonna be Saturday before I can do any more bike work and I've got plenty to do on other projects.  Since the CB400 looks almost ready to ride, it would be rewarding to get it going.
All the other stuff is multi-day work.

Found a used copy of the Haynes 78-84 honda twins book for $11 incl ship so maybe in a week or two when it gets here....
