if the 94 has a v-6 your mileage would be pretty good, 21mph or better on the highway,
plus you could buy it for less than the cost of rental. BTW, I had a 75 3/4ton with a 350 v8 automatic,
we got around 16mph. What's wrong with that.  ;)

well, just been looking around and all the rentals I've come up with average 15mph. Though it looks like
you could rent from budget truck rental for about $800.

Yes Rob, that's been the price I've seen on the net but trying to organize a booking online is near on imposible.
In respect of your gas milage, well I'm used to 68mpg ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D.

Sam. ;)
For 68 mpg I would suggest you by a 250cc scooter and tow your bike with that.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Sam, you are coming to the US of A. you have to act like the natives. Gas is like 2.60 per gallon enjoy the ride. No need to run flat out downhill to make the next hill, you set the cruise control and just steer. Think of it as a research project, what does it feel like to be a Yank, why do these people act the way they do. Do it for a while and you will see why. Rob, can we get him a shootin iron?

I don't think I'll need a shooting iron, probably won't be able to get a licence for it cos I sure as hell can't get insurance to ride the sodin bike. >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

those chevy astro vans are good runners too with a 4.3 litre v-6. i wish i had the cash RM i'd buy that for myself! i've been wanting either a gm astro/safari or a ford aerostar for bike and crap transport.

Hi Sam been to NJ Licence Office today to try to Title my CL, not possible, but they did say I could take out a 20 day temporary licence whatever that is, perhaps that may be possible in your trip through various states.

Thanks Malc but I think I've got it sorted with Rob.
What's it like over there, weather OK ?
Stafford was OK, went on Saturday with Benly Ben.
See his pics in the Daytona thread in the race forum.
Have a good holiday.

Hi Sam weather has been great, in 70's the last few days, last week though had a cold spell sleet and snow!
Yes disappointed to miss Stafford, saw the Daytona thread pics.
Got my CL up and running even got another exhaust for it while here, be sad to leave it behind on Saturday, nearly got it shipped back this visit.

WOOHOOO,

Only two weeks until Sam arrives and we ride to Georgia.

The temps here are still in the 90s F almost every day so our ride to Georgia will be nice and warm but I hear it has snowed in Boston this past week so when i head back to sunny Florida Sam will head to the GREAT WHITE NORTH   :o

I know it's an SOHC4 board but I will be driving my Goldwing to Georgia.

Well, just 4 nights at work and then, It's party time. :D :D :D

Nothing is planned north of Richmond apart from I'll be ending up in Boston.
If the weather is bad at this stage, I'll rent a van and push on as far as I can in just a few days.

Hey Andy, do you want to plan a route for me, could do with avoiding big interchanges, some of the small ones over there are bigger than Spaghetti Junction. :o :o :o
