140+ miles/tank easy.  By that time you`ll be needing a break anyway  ;)

cheers

Sam. ;)

Not sure if the tank is the same as my '70 750 but on my recent trip I was averaging over 50 mpg with saddlebags loaded down and going 80mph.

Thanks guys, what dose the tank hold and what's the average price of gas at the moment ?

I'm trying to get an idea of how much fuel I'll use on my trip and what the cost will be.

doesnt your AUTO have a gas gauge???

i start to fill up @ 100 miles it keeps the trip broke up and that way you dont get soo fatigued...

check your Right side gauge and then lift your "gas" fill lid... it should have a "sending" unit under there below the gas cap...

but at anyrate... i dont usually go more than 100 miles and i dont really like running on "res"  and if your doing a long RIDE then 100 miles is a good plan if you think about it 100 miles is about 1.5 hours its a good time.. to streatch, get some drink, and snack.

ya sam i get it now!!! dont mind me i'm with stupid :(

anyways yes they should have a gas gauge inplace of the "tach" and on that gauge there is a PND light and other lights for regular cb750 functions and they should in good condition get about 47+mpg

but like i said i wouldnt and dont run more than about 100 miles at a time...

Talking about rest breaks, with what's going to be close on a 2,000 mile bike journey, I'm going to be taking quite a few rest breaks.

Don't forget, I'm only used to doing 13.4 second stints of quarter of a mile at a time. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
