Texas World Speedway - May 17th
« on: May 06, 2009, 09:49:34 AM »

I'm pretty sure I'll be there for the next open trackday.  Anybody else in the area up for it?  It's a big place that used to be on the NASCAR schedule way back when.  This will be my first time riding here, but they say it's pretty wide open and easy to learn.

They run the 2.9 mile road course and use part of the banking.  I enjoyed riding the 400F on some shorter tracks, but it might get tired here.  Still trying to decide between taking it or the FZR1000.  I'd really like to take them both if I can manage to squeeze them on my 4X6 trailer.  Anyway, should be a good time if others want to join in.  Good time to ride now before it gets too hot.  It should *only* be in the 90's the next couple of weeks.

The organizers also do a few "parade" laps at lunch for spectators if you come out just to watch.
