Topic: will 750k bowl gasket fit a 750F?

Hey everyone,
I am about to clean my carbs, and I was looking for new bowl gaskets. I have a 78 750F.
I have found several kits and gaskets for the K bike but none that specify "F".
can I use the K gasket?

BTW, want to change the gaskets when cleaning right?

would still like to know if I should change the gaskets no matter what?
or if I should look for some level of wear?

I don't know what everyone else's experience has been but my 76F has the original gaskets and I have had the bowls off a few times and they do not leak. Same thing with my XS650. I have had the bowls off several times in the course of 29 years and the original gaskets do not leak.  From a few things I have read here sometimes the new gaskets are crap and may leak worse than the old ones.  With an OEM kit they are probably ok but a cheap knock off who knows.    I suppose if you are going to the trouble of dismounting, disassembling, and cleaning the carbs it may be better to use the new ones.

Gasket sets would be based on carb model.  If K and F use the same carb, then they would interchange just fine.  An even better check would be to use a parts fiche to compare part numbers.
