alright so i just got a beat on 74 cb550 that hasnt run in years. putting it back together the rubber from carb to air box was destroyed so i made some makeshift ones out of lawnmower filters. for the record i did have it running for a day or two with the airbox and there was no smell of gas in the exhaust. now there is...... from my understanding(limited) when you make it breathe easier it should lean out the mix right? so why does it smell like gas?
