There are way too many suppliers to Honda to even guess at the number.
I was wandering around Osaka one afternoon and came across a garage/shed on a back alley with a lady working with a solder pot. She was making motorcycle clutch cables for Yamaha.

I am aware there are many vendors, just bringing it up for them that dont realize it.

Did find it odd tho, that there were 3 suppliers for same parts on the XL 350.. :o

Don't know but I wish whoever makes the K1 seats for them and K1 front fenders would make a K0 'cut' front fender and Ducktail seat. I am sure there would be people queuing to buy them. After all Yamiya can do it (at a price). For example on the seat they could use the K1 pan pressing and not bother beading over  the front and rear of the front fender. Perhaps in the 40'th anniversary of the CB750 someone could shame Honada into reproducing them. That Ducktail seat is so gorgeous that I am sure many K1 owners would opt for it. Perhaps the 'cut' front fender may be a safety issue in these times though.

Hi,
Yamiya does not produce seats, they just sell seats.
BTW, I know from my supplier that there is a ducktail seat with metal seat pan is coming out soon.

Hey Nippon that sounds really exciting keep us posted. Where is it to be manufactured?

I talked with a British builder who makes the ducktail seats and covers, sells some of them on eBay, the rest through his distributors (I don't know who those are, though). He is bringing out K1-K3 seat foams now, too, for riders like me!  ;D Those haven't been available for so long that I had forgotten how good they were. They are slightly wasp-waisted where yours thighs go down when standing, and the seat cover was scalloped in the same area with the bead going down along this line, so your pants did not wear it so badly.

By the K4, this became the "platform" seat, with the bead just following the top of the seat contour, to protect the paint on the side covers by pushing your thigh outward a little while standing (so suggested the Honda rep at the time, anyway: paint wear on the tops of the side covers had become a warranty issue).

Being a Honda wrench at the time, I immediately noticed this on the K4, making it feel almost as wide as the K0 with those squared-off side covers that made Honda dealers measure your inseam at the time of sale in 1969 and 1970 (minimum 30" inseam, or you could not buy a 750K0, honest! At least, in Illinois...).

If you mean the Moretti Ones (Gloucestershire), these are the same as the ones David Silver sells. Only Silvers advertise at 105GBP and the direct price I was quoted was 150!!! they have plastic bases though. Some people reckon they look really good, others don't agree. Have not seen one 'in the flesh myself', but I suspect the quilting depth is less than the stock item.
