Ok mabey this is old hat...
But I have been fighting a set of KZ1000 forks.
(same basic fork design as hondas)
One I could get the lower bolt that holds the slider tube, the other, nothing.
I tried pressurizing the tube(about 50lbs) and using an impact on the bolt.
nothing.
Tried using a pipe clamp to compress the shock 'till it bottomed out, and using the impact.
nothing.
Tried whacking the bolt(with a drift) to "jar" the bolt loose.
still nothing.
Thought about heat, and thought not a good idea, since the only thing I have to heat it is either a mapp/oxy torch, or propane... flame, and fork oil, didn't think it would end well.
Got an idea to crank up the PSI on my air line to 160psi(max the compressor can do) and took a slightly buggered top cap(the thing on top that holds the spring in) drilled a hole JUST big enough for my smallest air nozzle, and shot 160PSI of air in there.
Shot that bugger off in a hearbeat.
Messy, but it was quicker(and cheaper) than having a local shop do it!
