I actually thought about painting my helmet a similar color, only mine was going to be day-glo pink.  I figured it would accomplish two things:

1:  It would be hilarious

2:  Maybe drivers might be able to see me if my helmet is radioactive pink.

I haven't found the right kind of paint for it yet.

i've ridden horses in a kilt many times, dont know as i'd be brave enough to do that on a motorcycle though.
