The 8th Of July??
What is so different about the 8th of July this year?
At five minutes and six seconds after 4 AM on the 8th of July this year, the time and date will be: 04:05:06 07/08/09.
This will never happen again.

Well next August 9 shortly after 5AM it will be:

05:06:07 08/09/10

I guess the last one of these (using these time/date formats) will be shortly after 9AM on December 13, 2014:

09:10:11 12/13/14

as a kid i actually counted how many licks it took to get to the center of a tootsie pop.

I agree!  There are 24 hours in each day, so each hour should have its own name.  Saves the hassle of dealing with am/pm, and there's no more screw-ups with the alarm clock! ;)

its the "hundred" tacked on that's odd to me... zero hundred ??? wtf
should be zero hour... it isn't a hundred of anything.  not even minutes... they only go to sixty so how can it start (or end) on a hundred?

That's just a military thing.  I don't think they do it that way in places where the general public uses 24 hour time.

  Actually it's more in the 150 licks area according to the trivia question that got me a..a..a something...yeah, that's it, 150.  8) ;)
