Hondamatic in San Jose

Hello!

As you may have guessed I live in San Jose, Ca and am the proud owner of a 77 Honda CB750A.

A short history of the bike:
It was purchased by my uncle back in 1990 as a project. He never did anything with it except leave it parked. He told me it never ran in the time he owned it and it died on the previous owner.
I gave my uncle a dollar and he gave me the keys.

From that point I brought it home, stuck a battery in it and found that all of the electrics (excluding ignition) worked! After a couple hours testing out the ignition, I found that the coils had gone bad. Got a set of used coils at a swap meet the following week, put em in, and it runs!

The next steps are finding a front master cylinder, get some tires, and replace the parking brake cable and it's rideable!

The body work is in ok shape. I've seen far worse.
A couple dings in the tank, rusted/pitted chrome, gross paint... the seat is ok though.
I'm pretty happy with it all in all. Couldn't ask for a better bike for a dollar!

I'll get a picture up soon, maybe do a gallery.

A short background on me:
I'm a auto tech/service manager by trade. I've been riding for about two years and have acquired 4 bikes since much to my girlfriend's chagrin. I'm into cars, aquariums, music, books, and movies as well. My favorite color is green. I like long walks on the beach and my turn ons are...

Anyway, nice to be here. :)

Four bikes in two years. Excellent! Do you think you can keep that pace? ;-) Welcome to the fun.

Thanks for leaving out the bit about the turn ons. :-) We do have a fairly active thread for pictures of pets, and I know there are some fish pictures there. Feel free to post some of yours if you feel moved to do so.
