Jeff, Someone - I Need Help With CB750 Frame Measurements
« on: May 11, 2009, 08:03:10 PM »
Guys,

I've got one of the members here who is missing the frame rails cut/removed many years ago. Joe is getting one of my kits, but those don't normally include the tubes nor the triangulated brace.

I need someone to give me the outside diameter of the tubing of those removed rails, please. I have the inside measurement of course since I have the inserts, but I also need the OD. Can you also give me the distance between the downtubes and the boxed section there at the front of the seat? I want to provide him with more tubing than he'll need for both sides.

Help will be appreciated by both of us.

Regards,
Gordon

Yup, 1.0" OD or 25.5mm.

From the down tube to the Box section on my 78 is 18-1/8".

Hope this helps.

Thanks Bob, guys - this is perfect. I did not want to pull my tank off to get these.

I'll fix him up.

Martin, I did and thanks to you for the offer. I knew some members would have a frame naked to get these. Mine is all-together and behind some other bikes, so it was a lot easier to ask.

You guys are a great buch - the best of the net in my opinion!
