CB400F front indicator question: odd one
« on: October 31, 2005, 11:15:04 PM »
can someone please measure the distance between the bases (chrome) of their 400F front indicators and let me know the measurement? ???

I suspect the mounting bracket on mine has been cut on each side and a section about 100mm (4 ins) long inserted on each side.  my front indicators are 400 mm apart between the bottoms of their bases.

maybe (if it was done) it was done to clear a fairing or something but it is butt ugly!  I am almost certainly going to chop and channel them. just wanted to know if it was stock before I did...

thanks.

Hi, just measured mine (which is original) and it is 360mm between the chrome bases or about 450mm between centres of the indicators. Please remember that a cb400f can never be ugly.

Thanks for that. mine measure centre to centre 465mm so probably are stock.  it seems so wiiiiiiide on an other wise elegand and dainty front end.  Might not chop and channel my original bracket, might get a second hand one to play with.

Thanks for the response.
