i'm absolutely confident hd owners are not at all temped to set your bike on fire for the offense of the air cleaner desecration.

Yeah the guy did mod it with that HD carb.

This one farts pringles...

That back rest is gone thank god.

Sold it on craigslist, $80. Haha.

The guy gave me an extra one, same year and model, for parts. Full engine and everything. I might mod the other engine out so if I ever want to swap them out. Tee hee. The possibilities are endless.

...what have I done today?

Powder coated the bars and hand levers.

Painted the pipes.

It's looking good. I also washed and polsihed the tank. It's nice n' shiney.

I gotta do something with those wheels, they are whey cool.

depending on how far you plan to get into this project, i'd say a matt (not flat) black with no alum. highlight, and a red 'pinstripe' on the edge. or leave 'em after a cleaning, or all gloss black. hell, even blast 'em and have a satin alum. finish.

However, unless I can slap it on or off in five minutes I am not doing squat because I bought this thing so I would have something to ride while I am trying to finish the Honda, which is TAKING FOREVER
