rear shocks for 71 cb750
« on: April 04, 2007, 05:21:16 PM »
the frames getting back from the powder coating next week and getting excited about getting it back together.  took the old shocks to the honda dealer and it was like i thought, they were no good.  this is my first project bike and not looking to spend alot, my question is has anyone used the shocks from parts and more that are less then $80 and if so how did they perform?  is there any kind of saftey issues with the cheaper ones?  back tire hope or not keep contact with ground as well, etc?  i am new to the whole bike world so its kind of overwhelming to make the right choice without the proper info so thanks to everyone out there on this site for lending a hand and tons of information.

Be careful to make sure what you need is what you get. My shocks came in yesterday and they have an eye at both ends (needs clevis at bottom), now I cannot get hold of them.
