well i called them this evening to see what the status on my order was. now, last week they told me the seat would be done by friday, shipped out monday (day before yesterday) i was told this evening that it hasnt even been built yet. now i'm lucky that i have some motorwork that needs to be done before i can ride it but still, they should have stuck by what they told me.

If it were me, at this point I'd be demanding a refund and if they were hesitant I'd call the bank to do a credit charge-back.  I don't usually give anybody more than one chance to lie to me.

if i were in a rush and this was the last thing i needed to ride, i'd be major league pissed off right now. they have till this time next week to get me my seat or i WILL call my bank and let them know about it. at this point i'm willing to give them a chance as it's entirely possible i misunderstood the hows and whens of it.

I have ordered 'glass for my Hawk GT and last year fiberglass for my 86 Gixxer and I got it in less than two weeks.  Remember race season has started and racers may wait for the last minute to order their stuff.
I had no complaints about the quality of the products.

this is true, never even thought about the fact that race season has started.

Sounds similar to what they told me.  I tellin' ya, these guys couldn't tell the truth if they were forced to.  I hate people that conduct their business by trickery.

If that's the case, then they should be up front and tell you that they're swamped right now and it will take extra time for your order.  Not just tell you what they think you want to hear just to placate you.

i just came back in from the shop and i am VERY pleased with how this seat fits the bike. latch and hinge mounting points are just right and i can even keep my grab bar and fender still without any cutting of the seat. the fender will be shortened a touch but i am keeping it. learned my lesson after the last time i had a cafe tail.
