advice on seat repair and fuel line routing on my 70 KO
« on: August 07, 2011, 03:40:28 PM »
being 41 years old my ducktail seat has developed a few mirror tears in the cover that I have circled. I want to fix this if possible before it gets any worse. Anyone with any experience in this on there bike. I thought about trying a vinyl repair kit, any other suggestions.

Also this is the current routing of my fuel lines coming off the petcock good or bad?

Bad on the fuel lines, they go through the rack, above the carbs, in the two holes provided.  OEM line or similar will need to be used.  The seat can be repaired with a curved needle and a baseball stitch.

i agree with the fuel line routing mine go over the tops of the carb rubbers then down to the carbs, seat you may be able to do something with the seat coverif you took it off and repaired from the inside?,  ;) cheers Mick.

Yep agree on the fuel line routing. Not getting the purpose of using the sliltter out of the petcock.
