I'll post a picture of my 17" if it will help. It doesn't have the rotors on it, just the hub. spokes and rim.

Ya thatd be great. After fooling with it I got the spokes in  the only concern I have is that on the outside spokes the threading comes past the nipple, only about a quarter of an inch though. I know custome spokes are usually ground off at the ens once done but is a quarter of an inch margin ok?

I also laced a 17" rim to my front hub using a cross 3. Theres no reason it shouldn't work with a 16" rim. This is the wheel during the lacing process.

On the 17 I laced to my rear, I had about 6 spokes with threads I had to grind off. Gigawhiskey I think had about 20. It happens. If the wheel trues up, grind off the excess and party on.

Wish you'd change the title of this thread...

Has nothing to do with Buchanans Spoke lacing....

Warning thread hijack!!!

Have you installed your 17" yet? Are there brake caliper clearance problems?

Hey MCRider, yeah I got it installed. From my last thread, I had the disc on backwards and that was causing obvious caliper issues, I flipped it and the caliper fits just fine now. The clearance from caliper arm to rim is very tight (less than 1/8"), but it doesnt touch.

I'll update that thread to continue the discussion. I'll post pics on monday.

I remember that thread, didn't realize it was you. THat's good news as I'm sweating it. But, "an inch is as good as a mile".

I first heard that in the context of raodracing. WHen you've got 3 people heeled over in turn one, near 100mph, a front wheel nearly touching someone else's bike, just rememeber, doesn't matter how close you are, as long as you don't touch.
