Can there be online Shop manuals for Cars??
« on: May 18, 2009, 07:08:36 PM »
I saw motorcycle shop manuals in PDF files or whatnah and I'm thinking if there's shop manuals for
cars too???

I just bought myself a 95' Bird with a 5 speed, and I could really use that manual.

Kinda hard to dish out $350 + tax for a OEM GM shop manual.....

Haynes and the other ones aren't very detailed, and they do leave out important things from time to time....

Speaking from experience  ::)

Thanks

I assume Firebird since he mentioned GM.  I first thought Thunderbird.  Did any of those vintage come with manual transmissions?

Yeah GM firebird. It's a stick...I'm tired of a auto. They only shift if you hit the pedal far enough for hills and quick acceleration.

I wanted to be the one in control of that.  Stick shifts are fun, but for my first time, 1st gear is the hardest. lol

So, if you guys know anyone with a shop manual for a 1995 Pontiac firebird 3.4L, I would be forever in debt to you.

thanks

Try Helminc.com. Bought several Honda motorcycle owners manuals from them with good results.

I found a site that has my XG350L, so maybe you'll find one too.

get on every forum about firebirds you can find and you'll find a manual that suits your needs.

i found a great online manual for my benz... i first bought an ebay disc manual that was a friggin' joke... then later found an online manual that reads like an actual shop manual.

speaking of birds... i definitely miss mine...
