They put reflectors on the rear fender and front forks.

WHAT KIND OF BADASS CHOPPER HAS REFLECTORS?

I mean come on, seriously.  Bicycles and scooters have reflectors.

Apparently the Fury is only unleashed so long as it's in a fenced in yard.

Government regulations, of course.

Reflectors are a DOT requirement.

It's just somewhat ironic that a custom bike for the instant-badass would have safety reflectors on it.  I'll bet the training wheels have flame decals on them  ;D

Pick it apart, who cares, it looks like crap in my eyes so I won't by one. Horray I win. Some one else will see it and say "I gotta have that!".,

Bobby hit the damn nail, you play the game or you loose, it's a business, it's not like Honda is a social club, they are a for profit company, so what else is there to say?

So basically, I am a Murderer, a Pestilence, a Wannabe, and a Tool. Since I love the Chopper style, it won't surprize anyone here that I love the Fury. I do however agree that the commercial is extremely annoying and does nothing to compliment the bike itself.

They have a Blue paint scheme that I am partial to, and the Black rims would be great. I also want the sissy bar so I can add luggage. I can see myself riding that bike every day.

The mills in it has more power than anyone could ever need and I like the way they styled it, I think they were going for a little bit of an unfinished look to it, such as how the tank mates up with the frame. They also made the rear en perfect in my opinion, they way they made an effort to clean it up behind the exhaust, and making it shaft drive, will guarantee a very long life. It is still a Honda, so you know that you will get a lot of mileage out of it, their quality standards are still in effect, no matter if some don't like how it looks.

Personally, I hate the plastic fantastics out there, all those street racers out there sheathed in plastic panels. The engine is an engineering marvel and should be showcased, not hidden behind all that crap. Besides, every time I see someone riding a "crotch rocket" all I can see is a Monkey "**cking" a football. I have ridden them and they are not at all comfortable for me. There are those of you who are perfectly uncomfortable on them, but not me, I am a chopper head, and proud of it.

Ride what you want, but don't knock others who do not ride as you do.

What the heck, Dusty? A monky f*ck*ing a football is not knocking others who do not ride as you do? As my bike is pretty much stock, I am glad not to be a member of the legion of football f*ck*rs.

The vast majority of the comments so far have concerned the bike itself or Honda's lame attempt at marketing it.

The marketing is precisely what I'm upset about.
Although I know what they are getting at, it's just lame.
All I can figure is that they got Luca Turilli.
Here's basically what I get from it, "Do you like being a rebel? Do you enjoy storms, and being a freaking badass?  Disrupt everyone around you and say, 'I don't give a #$%*, while still riding a BRAND NEW MOTORCYCLE!"
Now, for Luca's first attempt at directing:

I agree on the monkey f*cking a football comment (or dog sh*tting a razor blade, if the seating position is slightly different)  it seems like everything now is either a harley wannabe or a crotch rocket with very little in-between.

i'm just gonna put this out there and not argue about it... but the plastic is not especially and/or specifically for looks.

chuck a bike off the track at 100+ and there's much more of a chance you'll have a running bike when it gets back to the pits in the back of the truck.  since crotch rockets are race derived... its an obvious and needed part of the design... not to mention aerodynamics.

but i can see you you might not like my flashy plastic bike...

i know most of the people that care about me don't like it that much.   :D

oh, I know, I guess my gripe is about how everyone wants to be a racer, and if they can't be a racer, they wanna look like one.  ...particularly the late teens-early twenties set that seems hellbent on killing themselves or putting energy drinks in their tanks.

Now there's a warning message I can live with.

Also, I can't imagine how comical it would have been to be there while they were filming the video - a bunch of guys in their 30s and 40s with long hair running around the forest swinging swords around? Hilarious.

If a bike is not naked, its in the closet...

Sure that plastic serves a function, and it comes into play, once you are at illegal speeds..

The most ridiculous thing about Honda finally offering a chopper is:
they resisted it so long, and when they finally got the corporate ballz to do it, it was already (mostly) over.

There has always been a place/need for choppers on the open road.. they just had to try in in the 70,s and figure it out, but no... superior engineering  was going to take over the industry..

The above is just my opinions & endless prattling.. ;)

just catching up here. i don't hate 'choppers' but i guess i'm just disappointed honda is jumping on the johnny come lately bandwagon. not like them- historically speaking. and while the bike isn't ugly, it looks styled by the ones who do their cars. just generic looking.

they did a convincing job of doing the v twin cruiser thing against all odds so this isn't that far of a leap. but why so late to the party honda? this lazy attitude is what the u.s. auto makers are known for. hint hint.

and i have yet to hear of any argument honda couldn't sell "standard" bikes like crazy if they wanted to. frankly, this world is completely enslaved by marketing. folks will buy cr@p on a stick if they think it'll get them laid or make them hip... which will get them laid. if triumph, moto guzi, ducati, r.e. can do it a giant corporation like honda should be able to do it better. it just makes no sense that a smaller company with less resources would put so many eggs in the 'standard' bike basket if it was such a limited/deadend niche. usually a smaller business will offer an easy sell rather than take a chance on a small segment of the market. that's like some tiny korean car company coming to the states and only offering an asian version of the dodge viper. in fact, isn't there some chinese or korean company selling bikes here? they are of the cruiser and sport bike variety, no? this fury is proof honda is lacking in creative/ ballsy ideas and rather play follow the leader. ok, make the fury, but offer some other choices too for crying out loud.

this 'chopper' (not really if you think what a chopper really is) isn't ugly. it's just so... mc chopper.

I agree Honda is sorta falling behind..

When Mr Honda  was still in charge he trusted his gut, and listened to folks and tried to give them what they want.

Seems today that "gut feeling" is overidden by  majority vote of the "schooled in it, so they know best" bunch.. They have the most brilliant staff, that cant see what,s going on... ???

They would KILL with a "green retro" commuter.  I'm thinkin' a classic styled 750 with modern technology in the engine and exhaust systems for minimal emissions and better gas mileage.  Something to appeal to people who aren't comfortable on crotch rockets or Hardlys.

they did..... too bad it's a scooter

+1 thanks for the morning laugh!

I know that EVERYWHERE I go I meet someone who comes over and lusts all over my bike telling me how they had that bike, their dad had that bike and how much they had riding/riding 2up with their dad etc on that bike. Their are people who would love to have a bike-bike: ie a frame, tank, motor and seat with just enough chrome to make accent it.

why would that be so hard to make? ???

Sorry, Kit. I didn't mean you. I was just referring to the beating on folks who ride crotch rockets. While discussing the chopper, there was little bashing of folks who ride choppers, although there was a fair bit of vitriol directed at the enfeebled who might buy into that lame Honda commercial.
