F exhaust headers on a K

How compatible are F 4-1 headers with regular K engines?  Will stock K exhaust pipe joints and collars work with an F header?  Also, does the muffler mount line up to a stock K3 frame? 

For reference, mine's a K6 engine, and this is the setup in question:

thats WAY high for a stock header with a kerker muffler in my opinion.

I think it might be Christmas in your world if you buy it ................so Merry Christmas.

You'll definitely need to fab a rear mounting bracket, plus remove the stock exhaust spigots from your K6. I fiqure it's better to install studs, less wear n tear on the aluminum threads in the head.

Hm, christmas would be one way of putting it.  Unexpected windfall.

Spigot, meaning exhaust pipe joint collar or flange?

Might hold out for a scuzzier (read: cheaper) stock SS setup.

If you are putting a header from a disc brake bike on a drum brake bike the pedal location and hanger is different. It did not work on a 75F to a 73K.

That's extremely helpful to know.  I'm guessing the K brake pedal is forward of where the F's is, thus the problem? 

Anybody ever conquer this particular problem, AND keep their center stand?
