Throttle Cable
« on: November 03, 2005, 04:06:40 AM »
I wrote in an earlyer subjuct that when I turn my handle bars a sharp right, that my RPM's increase. Alot of people wrote back that I have a short cable or that the cable is hung up on somthing. Well thank you for the advise, it appears that the cable is not short it was replaced and routed over the wireing harness. I took the tank off and it does not do it. I need to change the location of the cable. My question is is it easyer to take it off the handle bars or the carb it's self and how do I do either one? If there is someone in the Akron, Ohio that would be willing to help a beginer biker it would be of great service. Oh by the way, it is a 1973 CB750.

It's hard to tell from your post where/how it is currently routed, but you may have to unhook both ends. If you don't, the maneuverings using just one end may end up putting some kinks in the cable.
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.
