I did it, I drilled the baffles!

I went ahead and drileed the baffle plate after seeking advice from the manufacturer.
I drilled 6 x 9mm holes in the end baffle plate on mine, 1 in the middle and 5 around the middle one. It sounds nice, it has a bit of a raspy sound and pops a little, but I think it sounds good. I have not ridden it yet as its peeing down, but the engine seems to rev freely and does not sputter at all.

Motad told you it was OK to drill holes in their scientifically-designed, precision-engineered, tuned exhaust system ?? !!

Hi Steve,
Yes, when I rang and discussed it with them, they said they get a lot of calls about this and their advice was that it was OK to do it. As you know, if I rang them again and spoke to different people the response might be different! I am happy with the new noise, I can notice it, but I would be surprised if you did.
Jim.

Jim...the next step is to scare some small children...and maybe buy a hand gun.  ;D

...I wonder if that small poke will re-open any old wounds?  ;D

I often scare small kids even when I am not on the bike! I would buy a hand gun, but they won't let us have them here, anyway I prefer a Franchi Spas 12 gauge, you don't have to be such a good shot.  :-[
What are these 'old wounds'?  is this to do with Charlton Hairpiece? I was not on the forum when this happened!
