cb400f oil screen filter

i removed the oil pan to fix some drain plug issues. i am told that it is a good idea to clean the oil screen filter while i have the pan off.
what would you guys recomend i use to clean this part?

This is also on my list... Clymer just says "solvent". Maybe engine degreaser?

A stiff brush and a pan of varsol does the job nicely. If you want it to be super clean, use spray-9 after the varsol.
