Pilot Jet Cleaning Help
« on: May 22, 2009, 01:51:58 PM »
Hi

I am cleaning #40 pilot jet. I can see the light through the center hole but I also
see the hole is partially blocked half way down the tube. Is this by design or something
is actually stuck in the hole. I also check 3 other pilot jets and they all seem to have
similar blockages. Yes, I can see the light through all 4 pilot jets. Should I leave the tiny
blockage or try to yank them out?

Thank you.

It's hard to believe vacuum can suck fuel through such small hole.

The small hole is 0.4 mm or about 0.016 inch.  That's the metering orifice in the jet tube.
