Think your right to have some concerns.  Getting the fit right 'out of the box' is difficult when your dealing with custom peg postions.  Chris would seem to be a better option, as he sounds like he is prepared to work with you.

Not to mention he is an engineer that used to work for yoshimura and he builds pipes for race bikes and such..... ;D ;)

Yeah, i havent seen much of his custom pipe work, just the 4-1's but the fact that i can bring my bike in makes me more confident in the end product, not to mention all the stuff mick has already said.

SO 4-2 or 4-4? My vote is 4-2.

4-2 was my original plan, but got seduced by Swarbrick's 4-4's.  I also couldn't find a nice 4-2 setup at the time.  A 4-2, were the headers stack under the filter like a 4-1 would be very trick.   Might want to ask about a cross over ('H').

4-4 is unjustifiable from an engineering perspective.

And irresistible from a bad-a-s-s perspective. ;)

FWIW, I'm not a shill for Race Tech - I've just got a thing for good suspension and the RTCE's are the most cost-effective mod for these old damping rod front ends.

I think 4-2 is the way to go on this one. Its all mostly about looks.

A shorter muffler section might balance out a bit better.  Maybe something that ends around the brake drum / axle?

Can't tell ya how much I like this fairing.
It's pure art in motion.
Where did you have it made?

Great build.

Yes, it is very cool. the metal part would not be to hard to make but I have no idea what or how you would get the wind screen, have it vacuum formed maybe?

If you have a mold you can just lay the plexi over it and heat it till it lays flat.

Any interest in making a mold of that little beauty?
Would be easy and popular, I'm sure.

Sean from "Roc City cafe racers" is on this forum. I know that he has a vacuum former large enough to do a windscreen. You can just lay some heated up plexi on a form to get a simple shape, but with the heat and the un uniform....forming you wouldnt have a sweeeet finish.

Droped the bike off at MotoGpwerks with chris. I think he wants to build a 4-4 for it. I was thinking 4-2 but i am open to suggestion so we will see what he come up with. Wont have any idea for at least 10 days. The guy is busy.

Hey ffj, thanks for meeting me at the show.  It was great to have a face to go with the name, and share the GNRS experience with.  I sure Chris will come up with something great for your bike, and for a lot less than the Swarbricks.

Great build and its coming along great.

I'm interested in having a tank shipped from the UK as well.  What shipper did you & the tank shop use? and was there tracking?  was it expensive?

Im not sure what they used. He told me what the final cost was ad i paid it. I would gladly do the same for my seat, i dont care what it cost! Really i dont remember exactly what shipping cost but i think it was like 70-80 gbp.
I talked to my talked builder yesterday and he thinks they will have "something" for me by the end of the week. Fingers crossed.
I also talked to chris and hes going to start in on my exhaust this week and told me to call back friday to see where he is at on it.
Also doing some research on swingarms. I want aluminum. So carpy is out, swingarm company is $$$$ but an arm with eccentric adjuster on it is pretty cool. I thinking about building my own dresda style arm from aluminum. I havent pulled apart a swingarm yet, but i will need to get the dimensions of the pivot tube so i can have it made up on a lathe. Numbers anybody?
