SOOOO WORTH IT!!

Looks amazing.
Life is precious: wear your f'n helmet!
There's nothing more expensive than a free bike...
FWIW, I'm not a shill for Race Tech - I've just got a thing for good suspension and the RTCE's are the most cost-effective mod for these old damping rod front ends.

What's another nickel here or there FFJ?

Going to have to make sure your wrenches have no slop and are good quality to not mark the heads of all that nice plating...

Bought some water pipe insulation to protect the frame when i put the motor in. Im already finding things i need to fix that i either forgot or didnt think of. Like the bottom motor bolt that runs from one side to the other is to long now because i dont have foot pegs on it any more. So I need to have it shortened and some threads added. I wish my lathe was set up to cut metric. Oh well. I hope i can get the engine in the frame tomorrow, then i can put the wheels on it.  ;D I have been waiting for this for over 2 years. And so have some of you. Thanks for tagging along.

I really want to see another picture of that frame - so consider me tagging along for a long while yet.

Well the motor is in but Im missing a spacer and the clutch bracket doesnt line up. If anybody has that spacer let me know i would love to buy it.

Frame Prepped

Motor in

Here is the spacer Im missing. Anybody? Lower right rear mount.

And this is the bracket that wont line up. Im a little worried about it but none of the other monts are tight yet so im hoping that it lines up when everything else is snugged up.

Im sure i will be missing some other parts as well. Its inevitable when you build a bike over 3 years.

Ill have to get a picture of the color in the sun light. The light in the garage makes it look like a toxic lime green. In natural light is more of an olive color.

Love the toxic lime green!

There's a Ford toxic metallic orange getting around on a new model Fiesta here, i was thinking of it for a frame colour.

PM you soon with the gauge restoration guy.
