Topic: New tattoo next week.

So next Friday is the opening day of a buddies tattoo shop and I want to commission it. I decided to put tattoos from places that I have been to and enjoy on my right leg, but since the economy problem started I have not been able to travel abroad. I started my leg with the Irish harp, which is in their coat of arms and on the Guinness logo. I was thinking of getting something California next, since I love it and I would not live anywhere else. I have been fond of Golden Poppies since I was a kid, so I figure have those growing around the outsides of the harp. I also want to throw in the red California star at the bottom center of everything. Let me know what you guys think or if you have any other suggestions. Thanks!

I would like to get a small cluster of them like this. Sort of combine these two images together.

If I were you, and not me (obviously) I would try and incorporate the poppies inside of the star, it would be more masculine that way. I'll see if i can draw something or google up an example.

Alright here it is. The guy free handed it from the pics I posted before. I decided against the star. I think it would have been too much. Anyway I think it turned out pretty good.

if i wanted people to see a tattoo thats where i would put it

I put my tats places that are optional to expose, because they're for me, not for other people.  Sure I like showing them off, but when I'm at work, I like that they're not visible.

Exactly. There were a few guys who gave me a ration for getting flowers and a harp, but then I turn around and showed them my back. Everyone always says "Woa I had no idea, you look like such a nice guy  " but that just goes to show you how much you really know about me lol. I like to chose who gets to see them because there is a prejudice, hence the surprise when they see it. When I get my arms tattooed it will be something I don't mind everyone seeing. I have the back on my avatar because you guys are pretty laid back and I feel comfortable. I think people avoid the face because it kinda gives you a permanent expression. Arms are perfectly visual and hide able. Hey Dennis, anytime you wanna give me a body shave c'mon over big boy
